What is the web crawler?
DAUMOA, the web search robot of Daum, is gathering web documents from all over the world for better search services.
These web documents are amassed from other related web pages that refers to its original web pages.
Then the robot, or the web crawler pulls out some useful information.
How can I prevent my site from the robot?
DAUMOA respects the international agreement "Robot Exclusion Standard", which enables webmasters to be excluded from the robot to search their web
documents. We are NOT gathering any information from the web pages which robots.txt is included or connected through.
Sometimes you don't want your site to be shown up to the Daum search result pages. In this case you can set up robots.txt to prevent DAUMOA from
gathering up your information.
1. Save the file named robots.txt to the top page in your site.
2. Put the text below in the file for the search restriction.
1) Preventing the robot from searching my site through all search services.
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
2) Preventing only the Daum robot from searching my site.
User-agent: daumoa
Disallow: /
It will be in effect from the next web search index update. It takes some time for the robot to consider the changes in your content.
